Family housing offers more than 900 family units that are privatized and operated by Balfour Beatty Communities. New homes have been built over the last few years offering on post residents, homes with garages and fenced backyards. If residents are eligible for BAH, that money must be turned over to the GMH Military Housing. Single personnel will be housed in the barracks depending on rank and unit. There are many off-post housing options including apartments in the nearby community of Augusta. Rent tends to be below national average as the cost of living in Augusta is lower. For information regarding homes for rent or sale, contact the housing office for more details. Wait times are many times less than 30 days.
